For the first time, Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation has undertaken a major housing project under the PM Awas Yojana 2.0 dedicated to the Citizens of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). Following necessary budget allocations, the tendering process has been initiated for the construction of 1,536 EWS-II housing units at Bhat. This state-of-the-art residential complex is designed to offer modern amenities and premium infrastructure, mirroring the layout and standards of luxury private townships. PM Awas Yojana 2.0 Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation Housing Project Location: TP Scheme No. 80, Final Plot No. 113, Bhat, Gandhinagar. Total Project Cost: ₹168.97 Crores Target Timeline: Completion within 36 months (3 years) from commencement. Key Features & Modern Amenities Spacious High-Rise Architecture: The campus will feature a total of 16 modern high-rise towers, each rising up to 12 floors. Spacious 2BHK Layout: Every flat is designed with a comfortable and significantly larger carpet area of approximately 41.48 square meters, featuring 8 residential units per floor. Structural Guarantee: The construction quality will adhere to premium standards, providing a 10-year structural defect guarantee for the buildings. Commercial & Employment Facility: 10 modern shops will be constructed within the complex to provide localized employment, shopping conveniences, and essential daily services for residents. Sustainable Energy & Elevators: Each block will be equipped with modern, certified safe elevators. To optimize and lower the society's common electricity expenses, 50% of the street lighting will be powered by solar energy. Water Self-Reliance: To ensure uninterrupted 24-hour water supply, the complex will feature dedicated tube wells and massive underground water storage tanks. Rainwater Harvesting: An advanced rainwater harvesting system and percolation wells will be integrated across the campus to promote groundwater recharge and environmental sustainability. Greenery & Recreation: The complex will include beautifully landscaped gardens, a dedicated children's play area, robust RCC benches for senior citizens, and a modern community hall/clubhouse to host social gatherings and cultural events. Modern Apartment Building Security & Campus Infrastructure: The entire campus will be secured by a strong boundary wall with a modern security cabin at the main entrance. The exterior walls will feature beautiful artistic paintings, while the internal roads will be constructed using premium RCC and high-durability paver blocks. Required Documents for Application Applicants belonging to the eligible groups (EWS, LIG, or MIG) must keep the following official documents ready for submission: Aadhaar Card: Mandatory for both the primary applicant and their spouse. Voter ID Card: Valid Election Commission Voter Identity Card. PAN Card: Permanent Account Number card. Income Certificate: Official income certificate issued by a competent authority or the Mamlatdar, strictly as per the rules of the Government of Gujarat. Bank Account Details: Bank passbook copy or a cancelled cheque showing account details for verification. Terms, Conditions & Eligibility Rules Affidavit Requirement: The applicant must submit an official affidavit stating that neither the primary beneficiary nor any member of their immediate family owns a permanent (pucca) house anywhere in India. Property Ownership: The applicant must not own any existing residential property across India. No Prior Government Housing Subsidies: The applicant must not have received any form of government financial assistance, grant, or subsidy previously to purchase a property in India. Category Eligibility: The applicant must strictly belong to one of the designated economic groups: Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Low Income Group (LIG), or Middle Income Group (MIG).
