Overview

Essential state and central certificates are required for education, jobs, subsidies, and inheritance claims. Most certificates can be applied for via state portals like Digital Gujarat or ServicePlus.

Birth and Death Certificates

Register birth or death within 21 days at the municipal corporation or Gram Panchayat. Late registration requires a magistrate's order. Digital certificates carry secure QR codes.

Income and Domicile Certificates

Income certificate proves annual household earnings (issued by Mamlatdar/Tahsildar; valid for 3 years in Gujarat). Domicile certificate proves 10+ years residency, required for state admissions.

Caste and EWS Certificates

Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC) provides reservation benefits. Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate is for general category families with income under ₹8 Lakh, providing 10% reservations.
