Fact-Checking Policy

Last updated: July 2026  •  BharatLink

BharatLink is committed to factual, verified government information. This policy describes our fact-checking standards.

Primary Sources

We rely primarily on:

  • Official .gov.in portals (Central and Gujarat Government)
  • Official government press releases and notifications
  • Official government gazette notifications
  • Ministry and department websites

Verification Process

  1. Every factual claim is verified against at least one official source
  2. Eligibility criteria, benefit amounts, and deadlines are checked on official portals
  3. Official links are included in every article under "Official Sources & References"
  4. Articles display the date they were last verified

What We Verify

  • Scheme names and official titles
  • Eligibility criteria and income limits
  • Benefit amounts and subsidy values
  • Application deadlines and dates
  • Official portal URLs and links
  • Required documents

Limitations

  • Government policies change frequently — we update articles when we discover changes
  • We cannot verify every user's individual eligibility
  • Always check official portals for the most current information
